Pirates III Trailer Finally Revealed!

Ahoy there! You've been eyeing your calendars. You've been counting the days. We told you it was coming, and now...it's here! And I hope you people are happy, I just sat through two hours of Dancing With The Stars to bring you a report on this thing! (Joey Fatone's going all the way this year, by the way). The official trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was unveiled to the general public tonight during the hit ABC show. Did you see it? The preview will have its online debut in just a few minutes at 10PM Pacific Time. You can see it in hi-def at Yahoo, regular-def at Disney.com, and at "other premium online destinations." Yahoo has really been hyping the event, their site has a countdown going and everything.
I thought Dead Man's Chest was a big ol' mess (don't make me walk the plank!), but this one looks pretty sweet and I've got high hopes for the third chapter. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has been saying the first two movies were "hors d'oeuvres" compared to At World's End. And why would he lie? The new film (and the trailer) picks up where Chest left off, with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), Will Turner (Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Knightley) trying to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) from his trap in Davy Jones' locker. Go over and check the trailer out, it's jam-packed with crashing waves, waterfalls (the actual edge of the world?), swordfights, exploding cannons, monkey antics, wisecracks, a marriage proposal, and a very intriguing shot of a ship sailing through the desert. The gang's all accounted for (Octopus-Face! Voodoo Woman!) and it was cool to see new addition Chow Yun-Fat in the mix.
One complaint -- would have loved to see Keith Richards, but I guess they've got to keep some surprises up their sleeve. Only about two months until you can see the real deal, Pirates 3 opens on May 25th -- arrrrgh you excited?

Fixed now, might have just been my comp.
Oh, I was actually kinda uninterested in looking at the trailer, just because my Pirates excitement has died down, I'm glad I did though. I am so psyched to see this. Freaking awesome-looking. The ultimate last stand, and with pirates to boot. Sweet!

Another useless Hollywood movie made foe the sole purpose to fund executives'salary increases, the maintenance costs of their mega-mansions and to fund their next 12 months recreational drug binges. This films will be forgotten in a couple of years and will share the company with other "classics" like Speed 2 and Batman and Robin.

Meh. I wish someone would do a real pirate movie, not one based on a Disney ride. So far, this franchise has been a huge disappointment. This'll probably be a wait-for-the-dvd movie for me, unless my idiot friends drag me to it like they did the last one.

The third installment looks entertaining - hopefully they won't make it six days long like the sequel. And yes, Joey Fatone is awesome.

The first one entertained. The second one was good enough. I'm not exactly expecting big things for the last one, BUT that trailer IS pretty awesome. Even if it's the worst film in the history of man, that trailer deserves an award.

That looks like a fun movie! I don't see where this series has been a let down at all. Granted this isn't how pirating really was but if you asked yourself that question 20 years ago, you'd say it was. This is what every kid though of when they thought of pirates; swords, ships, cannons, goofy clothes, and freedom. Let's face it, the new wave of movies these days are meant to be fake, mythological and fantastic. Realism is a documentary technique, bringing the imagination to life... THAT is art!

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!!! Johnny Depp does an amazing job as Captain Jack Sparrow (and looks hot too!!) All the flicks were wonderful!!! especially Dead Man's Chest but 3 definitely looks the greatest! Nicole I agree with you...I think Tia Dalma was Davy Jones' woman! Anyway...I cannot wait for the third one to come out!!! May 25th is too far away!

I Do Enjoy PoTC.
It Is Based Off A Book, Not Only A Ride. Some People Who Declare It Damned Due To It Not Being A Classic Is Only Afraid Of Change And New Things. I Personally Am Happy It Came Out. I Do Agree It Is Slapped With Disney Logos, That Is Very Irritating. But Having Such a Large Funding Only Makes It That Much More.
Sadly That Is All We Have To Go On Now A Days. Money. You Are Somebody If You Have -Money-.
Johnny Depp Is Amazing. Period. I Can`t Wait To See The Next Movie.
